VOCATIONAL SCHOOL
Our country has got the youngest and the most dynamic population in Europe, and giving quality
vocational education to the young population, in accordance with the needs of the economy, will
strengthen Turkey’s sociopolitical position, and its economic development will be accelerated. Having
made significant progress on the road to EU membership, Turkey needs to acquire a serious voca -tional training culture to be able to compete with developed countries. At this point, the mission of our
Vocational School is to train skilled workforce, equipped with the professional knowledge and skills
required in sector-based markets.
In the new world order in which international community is rapidly being reorganized, distances are
getting shorter, commercial markets are becoming partners and getting closer, our vision as a
Vocational School, in cooperation with Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, local and international
business circles and NGOs, is to train qualified workforce with the knowledge and skills needed in the
market, to open new programs targeting professions needed in the future in line with the demands of
our country and the market; and to train skilled managers and expert staff in these programs.
Taking this mission and vision as the starting point, our students acquire, along with their professional
knowledge and skills, sound communication capabilities, foreign languages, computer literacy and
ability to solve problems and think analytically. With this educational view, our target is to train our
students in such a way that they can use their academic knowledge in the sector, manage team work
and solve problems they encounter by thinking analytically.
In our Vocational School, our students have the opportunity to practice their theoretical knowledge
through internship and to test their knowledge, in a way that prepares them to business life. In
addition, common projects, enhancing our students’ internship and preparing them for business life,
are being carried out in cooperation with Istanbul Chamber of Commerce.
Current programs in our Vocational School are: Computer Programming and Computer Technology,
